BGC Wales 2023 Welsh Championships Final was held on Saturday 28th October 2023 at Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen, Tondu, Bridgend, CF32 9EG.

 

101 young boxer entries from 41 member clubs across Wales. Almost double the amount of participants than last year. Thank you for all your support!

FThe BGC Wales Welsh Final on the 28/10/23 was a resounding success. We extend our gratitude to have four regional representatives who played pivotal roles in organising the Preliminary Bouts leading up to the Welsh Final. They are Keith Jefferies - Cwmbran BC (East), Brett Parry - Maerdy ABC (South), Stephen Brophy - Premier ABC (West) and Darryl Jones - Clwyd ABC (North). We sincerely thank them for volunteering their time and efforts supporting the organisation!

We are also grateful for the invaluable support provided by the WABA (Welsh Armature Boxing Association). Additionally, our dedicated Referees and Judges to find time from their already very busy schedule to help make it happen. We extend our gratitude to Nicky Piper MBE, who once came through BGC Wales (formerly Boys’ Clubs of Wales, for gracing our boxing show as an inspirational figure for our young boxers. Nicky Your presence and wisdom have left an indelible mark, motivating our rising stars to reach for greatness. Thank you for being a beacon of inspiration.
